We have recently agreed a new Business Plan which outlines our priorities and an ambitious programme of work to be carried out over the next 10 years. As part of that planning process we have looked closely at the types of people we will need to deliver our vision, and that review has led to the creation of this exciting new leadership role.


This new post will navigate the changing education landscape and ensure effective relationship management with a range of partners, stakeholders and businesses, recognising their different priorities and coordinating a shared vision for the future. You will relish the opportunities created in this post to see beyond just the need to have high quality schools, colleges and higher education provision but also the crucial link to having the right skills in our communities to provide the skills that Wiltshire businesses need, encourage more young people into the work place and ensure we keep unemployment figures below the national average.

* When compiling the timetable, we are conscious that the final panel interview dates do stretch into what is traditionally the summer holiday period. If you are interested in the role but the proposed dates for the final panel will cause you concerns due to pre-arranged holiday commitments, please do let us know in advance of the closing date. Should we find that a significant number of candidates are experiencing difficulties, we will look to see if there is any flexibility.
